Well, I don’t think Google can say it any better, “In the past few thousand years, the way we pay has changed just three times—from coins, to paper money, to plastic cards.” Now I’m pretty sure the next big shift is coming up. The Google Wallet is an Android app that makes your phone your wallet. It stores virtual versions of your existing plastic cards on your phone. Simply tap your phone to pay and redeem offers using near field communication, or NFC. When it launches, you’ll be able to use Citi® MasterCard® cards and the Google Prepaid Card with Google Wallet and will let you take advantage of exclusive Google Offers to help you save money at the same time.
