Old-School Technology Gets the LEGO Treatment

While LEGO seems to stay relevant over its 65-year existence through sticking with its original concept, we know that technology changes at such a rapid pace that the average person can’t even keep up. Artist and designer Chris McVeigh wanted to resurrect this out-dated technology by giving this old-school technology the LEGO treatment and creating these eye-catching minimalist LEGO models. Included in his designs are the likes of the original Nintendo, old-school TV’s, computers and analog phones.

If you decided to pick up The Simpsons Lego Set when it first hit the market, well, it’s time to beef it up and add the rest of the mini-figures to your obsessive collection. The new characters will be released prior to the special LEGO episode of The Simpsons airing May 4 on FOX. Keith Haring x Kid Robot (RED) Figure

(RED) has been an important topic for many years and will probably be for many years to come. The Keith Haring x Kid Robot (RED) Figure is a collaborative project between two art driven forces coming together to help fight the battle with AIDS in Africa. This limited edition project features Kidrobot’s signature Bot dressed up in a signature Keith Haring all-over pattern along with red detail, or an all red robot is also available with both coming in 7″, 3″ and 1.5″ keychain versions. A snapback and beanie also join the project, with all of it becoming available to you on December 1.

Breaking Bad Lego Superlab Playset

This isn’t the most appropriate LEGO set to have around your children, but the Breaking Bad Lego Superlab Playset would be the perfect piece to add to your collection. With mass attention to detail, you’ll find that LEGO had nothing to do with this, so Citizen Bank took matters into their own hands. The lab is modeled after the original Gus Fringe industrial laundry lab and includes minifigures of Mike Ehrmantraut, Gus Fringe and Walter White in his cooking attire. It also contains over 500 pieces, so yo might need to pick up some of that blue rock to put it together (just kidding).

Zombie Bart

If you’re an avid toy collector and a fan of The Simpsons, then you’ve just found the Holy Grail. Not really, but you have found something pretty unique in the Zombie Bart. In a collaboration between Kid Robot and The Simpsons the 6-inch vinyl figurine of Bart Simpson has him lookin’ zombie-ish with his blue skin, eyes bulging, brains spewing and rugged ass clothing. Since we all love little accessories to come with our toys, the included spoon is for scooping his brains out – gross.
