SWISSTED
Creating my first punk rock show flyer on Microsoft Paint back in the day was pretty much what lead me to my interest in graphic design. Now we fast forward 12 years later and I’m still interested more than ever. When I came across Swissted: Vintage Rock Posters Remixed and Reimagined it intrigued me enough to even remember that moment, so I had to post it. Swissted takes rock concert posters of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s and remixes and reimagines them through a Swiss modernist lens. This isn’t just a coffee table book, though. All 200 pages are perforated and ready to be torn out, framed and hung up on your walls. And trust us, with names like the Beastie Boys, the Clash, Green Day, the Ramones, Black Flag and Nirvana you’ll have a hard time finding one that you don’t want to put on your wall.

Life In Pictures by Fro Design Co.
As many of us have left our desolate hometown (El Centro) to pursue our dreams, I’d be a fool to say that some of us aren’t doing big things. With that, our buddy Fro over at Fro Design Co. is one of those people. He has mastered the art of minimalist posters – mostly through film – and he’s showing it to us again with his brand new Life In Pictures series of prints. Inspired by the likes of Breaking Bad, Jurassic Park, The Godfather and Rocky – Fro set out to portray his own vision of what life is really like by utilizing key scenes and characters from the TV show and movies. Each poster is hand signed and numbered, printed on archival paper and each are limited to just 50 a piece. If you’re looking to get a “kick” out of your day, hanging one of these posters up in the crib wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

With Disney trying to capitalize on the Latino holiday “Dia De Los Muertos,” Mark set out to portray some of Disney’s most iconic characters as thugs and vandals as they try to takeover and monopolize untouched markets. He started off with portraying Mickey as a Dia De los Muertos character and eventually turned Goofy, Pluto and Daisy Duck into all-out gangsters. Cassette Tape Label Prints
I remember growing up, sitting in front of my tape deck for hours, trying to dub-up a mixtape of the illest songs playing on the radio. As we remember those days, so does Neil Stevens, but through his Cassette Tape Label Prints. These pieces started off as personal prints for Neil’s home wall, but now he’s made them available for all of us to enjoy. Measuring in at around 19″ x 28″ you’ll find an eight print series inspired by the analog days of old blank cassette tape labels, but are digitally modified to be bigger and better for today’s liking. They’re printed on High White Smooth 315gsm uncoated paper and are sure to take you back to those old blank cassette tape memories that we will cherish for the rest of our digital life.
