OUTSIDE IN: The Story of Art in the Streets

Here at Direkt Concept we were blessed enough to make a trip out to Los Angeles to check out the greatest exhibit of street art (in a gallery) to date. From Banksy to Shepard Fairey, Invader to Revok and Lee Quinones to Mister Cartoon all of the visuals were intense and I couldn’t seem to get enough. When walking into the gallery you could taste the art that has inspired us to do what we do at DKC, and the first step in, I knew the exhibit wouldn’t fail me. From director Alex Stapleton OUTSIDE IN: The Story of Art in the Streets is a look at street art through the lens of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s groundbreaking exhibition. The show ran from April 17-August 8, 2011 and traced the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today. Check the video above as we know many people were unable to attend this glorious spectacle of  “Art in the Streets”.
