Akai MPC Fly for iPad 2

As a lot of us know music production has come a long way from dubbing tapes to the original 808. With technology changing at a tremendously rapid pace we have come to find ourselves creating music on our handheld devices and desktop computers. Now famed MPC maker Akai has introduced their latest venture into the ever-changing digital music market – the MPC Fly for the iPad 2. The Fly is the first MPC designed specifically for the iPad 2 and combines 16 backlit MPC pads with a dedicated iPad app packing effects, a four-track mixer, a sound library, sample editing, an EQ, and support for Korg’s wireless sync-start technology. It comes complete with a double-hinged case which provides an additional lithium-ion battery that can charge your iPad when plugged in. I guess this could be your home studio, but on the “fly”.
