Better late than never – an old term that we definitely live by sometimes. The unveiling of the new Apple iMac 2012 last week brings us a much thinner screen at about 5mm and is 40% smaller in volume than past models. Gutting the insides we see that its powered by quad-core Intel Core i5 processors, can hold up to 32GB of RAM and can be configured with the new Fusion Drive storage option that combines 128GB of flash memory with a 1TB or 3TB hard drive to offer most of the speed of an SSD with the vast storage of a standard hard drive. Did we mention it features a completely re-engineered display (putting the screen closer to the glass) that reduces reflections by 75%? The 21.5-inch model is coming in November with the 27-inch gracing us in December.
