HTC One M8

HTC one M8-01

Following up on their successful release of the One smartphone, HTC has unveiled their new and improved version in the HTC One M8. It all starts off with a beautiful uni-body frame that’s crafted from brushed metal. Inside of that beautiful body is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage thanks to a mircoSD slot. You’ll also find that the updated camera does a lot better in low-light conditions thanks to the added pixels and effects, adding a background blur or restoring focus with the built-in UFocus will have your pictures looking like a professional took them. Improvement to gesture control also makes the M8 a very considerable buy, along with improvement to the speakers and audio.

HTC has been on a bright path lately. Having released their DNA phone not to long ago, we see an unveiling of their newest smartphone entitled the HTC One. Utilizing Android software we find that the hardware is actually the coolest part of the HTC One.

Boasting a premium aluminum unibody shell the 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display sits nicely atop the unibody. A key feature is Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor of which the HTC One is among the first to feature it. The smartphone also features an UltraPixel back camera with a 4 megapixel chip and 32gb or 64gb of storage. Competing to be a competitor, we definitely think HTC is arriving at a destination only Apple and Samsung have claimed thus far.

Weighing only 170 grams (6.0 ounces), the device has a full HD camera with zero shutter lag and stereo sound recording, and HTC Sense even lets you stream photos or videos to your television via DLNA so that you can share special moments at home or with the world on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

HTC Flyer

Today is the start of our technology posts! We would have loved to start it off with an Apple product, but hey what can you do. I think this is as close as we will get. From the Mobile World Conference, being held right now in Barcelona, Spain, comes a preview of the latest Android tablet, the all-new HTC Flyer. The 7-inch device boasts a 1024 x 600 LCD screen, 1.5GHz processor, HSPA+ connectivity and a 1.3MP camera on the front with another 5MP one mounted on the back. New software features also include SRS Surround Sound, “Scribe technology” that recognizes handwriting, and OnLive, the cloud-based game streaming service. The tablet will be available for purchase worldwide sometime in early 2011.
