Standing out from the crowd can either become a really good thing but it can also result in negative reactions as well. We’ve decided that The Monocle from Native Union falls into the “really good thing” category, frankly because we haven’t seen anything like it. The new smartphone accessory is changing the way we communicate through its built-in speaker, speakerphone and mic that allows you to listen to music and take phone calls from your cell phone in a bold new fashion. The Monocle can be daisy chained to as many as 10 other Monocles, so if your friends want to join in on the action, it’s more than possible.

Sony 3-In-1 Walkman
Low-pro trying to innovate the game is the Sony 3-In-1 Walkman. Yes, a 2013 version of the Walkman, but it’s actually pretty damn cool. These brand new, all-in-one version of a headphone feature a built-in MP3 player, along with built-in external speakers so all of the homies can join in on the music festivities. They work with the simple touch of your fingers and require no cable whatsoever, unless you want to plug them into an external MP3 source via your usual auxiliary cable. They’re available in a 4GB or 16GB version with a listen time of up to 20 hours on one full charge, and 1 hour from a quick 3 minute charge. Making them a hell of a choice in Europe, but hopefully we’ll see them on this side of the Atlantic very soon.

Many are now fighting to compete in the Bluetooth speaker market and now The Blazar from Beacon Audio is raising the bar even higher for everyone. This portable Bluetooth speaker was designed to be extra loud, pack in several features, easy to use and deliver true stereo sound to its owner. It features Bluetooth capability, NFC technology, a built-in mic, rechargeable battery and 360-degree sound. A big stand-out feature is the dual-stereo pairing that allows you to wirelessly connect two Blazars together and actually separate the sound into true Left and Right stereo signals. The simple and sleek design doesn’t hurt either.
