Apple CarPlay
Finally, Apple has revealed one of their products without an anticipated build-up or a frenzy of press surrounding them. Their almost surprising reveal, Apple CarPlay has actually been anticipated for quite sometime, but it wasn’t until early this morning that Apple decided to reveal it. Integrating it into select 2014 car models, CarPlay brings the most important iPhone functionality right into your car’s built-in display. A familiar voice in Siri will be guiding you through Apple maps, phone, messaging, music and a whole lot more. Look for car manufacturers like Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz to include CarPlay in their 2014 models, while Toyota, BMW, Land Rover and more will follow.

Apple-1
If you are a diehard Apple fan, collector or just have $300,000.00 you can spend for funsies then head over to Christie’s Auction House to bid on this Apple 1. It’s one of 200 Apple-1 computers produced in 1976 and one of about 40-50 in existence to this very day. The computer you see above is actually one of the first 25 to be built and it has everything it needs to prove it like the handwritten serial number and date code on the 6402 processor. The first Apple-1 was designed by Steve Wozniak and hand-built in Steve Jobs’s parents’ garage which in turn became the first crucial step in the personal computing world. To think this thing was once retailing at $666.66 with only a motherboard and without a keyboard, transformer, or video display is completely insane. But, I’d rather pay that than $300k+.

Mac Pro
iOS 7 wasn’t the only thing Apple had in its bag of tricks for us yesterday. They’ve finally introduced to us the long-awaited Mac Pro. With a complete overhaul to their lightning fast computer you pretty much take one look at it and wonder what the hell it is. Well, it’s a computer my friends and it packs quite the punch for being in such a small package. Specifically targeted to designers, video editors and subjects alike, this 10″ x 7″ cylinder houses a 12-core processor, 40GB of PCIe bandwith, 60GB of memory, dual GPUs (which allow editing of 4K video) and two-times faster flash storage. Other features include the built-in Thunderbolt 2, USB 3, Gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI 1.4 ports all of which make this desktop a hassle to compete with. Oh, did we mention it’ll be assembled in the U.S.A? Just another added piece to the conversation.

iOS 7
We were all sitting at the edge of our seats today awaiting for Apple to announce their newest innovations. As they did just that, we’ve received an awesome introduction of what the new iOS 7 will look like and how it’ll function. A plethora of changes have emerged in UI design along with new and revamped features. If keeping it simple didn’t render your brain to Apple then it should now because they’ve refined everything about the design. Swiping your way to your next destination is just the start. With the new Control Center at your finger tips you’ll have easier access controlling your music, Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and flashlight amongst many other capabilities. Perhaps the biggest standouts are the new streaming of music in iTunes Radio and the integration of iOS in the Car coming to a select number of car makes in 2014. The big question is, will we see the new operating system be released on a brand new iPhone? We’ll just have to wait and see.!

Apple iPad Mini

We were all waiting, but we just didn’t know when. Now, the Apple iPad Mini has been unveiled to the world and we are sure consumers can’t get enough of it. Being able to grip the iPad Mini with one hand has been quite the hit with the new release. It also boasts many of the same features as it’s older sibling but at 7.2mm thin and weighing in at just 0.68 pounds, portability seems to be key here. Even though it is smaller, the Mini still manages to pack in a 7.9-inch display, an A5 processor, a 5MP iSight camera, a front-facing FaceTime HD camera, and Apple’s new Lightning connector. You also have two color choices – black and white.
Apple iMac 2012

Better late than never – an old term that we definitely live by sometimes. The unveiling of the new Apple iMac 2012 last week brings us a much thinner screen at about 5mm and is 40% smaller in volume than past models. Gutting the insides we see that its powered by quad-core Intel Core i5 processors, can hold up to 32GB of RAM and can be configured with the new Fusion Drive storage option that combines 128GB of flash memory with a 1TB or 3TB hard drive to offer most of the speed of an SSD with the vast storage of a standard hard drive. Did we mention it features a completely re-engineered display (putting the screen closer to the glass) that reduces reflections by 75%? The 21.5-inch model is coming in November with the 27-inch gracing us in December.
