Underground hip-hop still lives in a world of its own and if you’re familiar with it then you know legendary producer J Dilla without hesitation. He innovated the game with his unique way of sampling and his ear for unexpected sound. Since his death in 2006, his legacy has lived on and has inspired many of the hip-hop artists you hear today. Lucky for us, there is still unheard music that he produced and the extremely rare 12-track Dillatroit EP vinyl that dropped last year which was very hard to obtain, is now available to the world for digital download. Finally, something worth listening to.
