It’s safe to say that I fall within the 95 percentile of people whom if they don’t write down their dreams, they forget them as soon as they wake up. I never write them down, so that’s where the Shadow app comes into play. As dreams fade throughout the day, the ability for them becoming a reality fade away with them. So, the co-founders of the app – Hunter Lee Soik and Jason Carvalho – are setting out to capture a world of dreams one person at a time. It all starts off with the escalating alarms that gradually transition you from your hypnopompic state from sleeping to waking, then you can type, speak, or answer a few questions to record your dream as soon as you wake up and Shadow will contextualize your dream themes within society and culture. Let others in the world-wide community evaluate your dreams by sharing your content, explore other people’s dreams, and after a few weeks of dreaming you might notice common patterns and themes that occur throughout the world. You never know, some of those questions might turn into answers. Are you ready?
