Intricacy runs pretty deep with the new Schofield Blacklamp Carbon watch. Immediately drawn to the face of this watch, it’s contained in a single billet of a proprietary material called Morta – a special carbon fiber matrix that is hand-laid and formed into small billets (wow). It also features the classic Unitas 6497-2 movement decorated with Geneva stripes and heavy rhodium plating, a sub-dial at six o’clock, a Tritium gas light and around the rim is a ring of Moonglow – a material developed by NASA that illuminates the dial in low-light conditions. It’s limited to 101 pieces. with each of them being named after individual lighthouses in England and denoted by the location co-ordinates of the tower and character of flash from the lamp within.
